MTF Aquatics was born from a lifelong obsession with rare and extraordinary fish. What started as Marc’s personal collection has grown into one of the UK’s most respected specialist tropical fish retailers.
Based in the UK, we specialise in sourcing species that simply aren’t available on the high street — from Arapaima and Silver Arowana to rare Plecos, wild-caught Discus and specialist Cichlids. We go to extraordinary lengths to find what serious fishkeepers actually want.
We’re fishkeepers first, retailers second. Every animal that leaves our facility has been health-checked, acclimated and held until we’re confident it’s ready. We don’t rush animals out the door for the sake of a sale.
One of the things that sets us apart is our transhipping service. We import direct from breeders and exporters in Indonesia, South East Asia and beyond — bypassing the UK wholesale chain entirely. The result is rarer species, healthier fish (fewer handling stages) and prices that reflect the source cost rather than inflated retail mark-up.
