Description

- Size: Minimum of 75 gallons for adult specimens.
- Decor: Provide ample hiding places like caves, driftwood, and rocks.
- Substrate: Sand, gravel, or a mix, with rounded stones and boulders for vertical surfaces and crevices.
- Filtration: Strong biological and mechanical filtration, along with good water flow to keep the substrate clean.
- Water Flow: Mimic their natural habitat with moderate to strong current.
Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 25 to 30°C (77 to 86°F).
- pH: 6.5 to 7.5.
- Water Quality: They are sensitive to poor water quality, so regular water changes are important.
Diet:
- Omnivorous: They are omnivores and require a varied diet.
- Foods: High-quality sinking pellets, wafers, and supplement with fresh vegetables like zucchini and cucumber.
- Target Feeding: Because of their nocturnal habits, target feed them once or twice a week with tablet or disc foods given at night.
